As part of the Free Unit at ASD London Metropolitan university, I will travel to Seoul with five other students on an exchange programme with KNUA (Korean National University of the Arts) for two months this year (Oct-Nov). Whilst there we will research a theme of our choice guided in reality by tutors at KNUA and virtually by our tutors at ASD. Once we have returned to the UK we will continue to develop these themes into projects based either in Seoul or elsewhere.
I intend to build up a body of research centred around the theme of 'the neighbourhood' in Seoul, in all its architectural, urban and cultural manifestations. This blog will be the first place I deposit my ideas, observations and sketches. When things become more refined, I intend to post drawings of an emerging project. I hope my posts will prompt you to comment/remark/criticise.
